Getting to Know Gas Flame Lanterns

Are you looking to add an ornamental touch to your property, or an elegant and romantic atmosphere to your outdoor gatherings? Gas flame lanterns are the perfect addition to any property or indoor dwelling. Not only do they provide a unique look, but they provide some practical benefits too, and can also be an affordable option for lighting up the night. But before you run out and buy one, there are some important things you need to know about gas flame lanterns. Legendary Lighting is here with you to take a closer look at all aspects of these beautiful and useful lanterns, from the cost of gas flame lanterns to how to troubleshoot common issues and how to adjust the flame for optimum performance.

Outdoor Gas Light Troubleshooting Tips

Gas flame lanterns require just a little regular maintenance and care in order to operate efficiently. Fortunately, most common issues are easy to troubleshoot without having to hire a professional. For instance, if you notice that your gas flame is flickering or is not as bright as it should be, check the fuel supply first – it may just need more fuel! If that doesn’t work, try adjusting the air vent at the top of the lantern which may need adjusting. This element helps regulate airflow and prevent the gas from burning too quickly or too slowly.

The most likely culprit is dirty or clogged burner orifices which are the small holes in the burner that release fuel when lit. To clean them out, use a piece of wire (such as a paper clip) to gently scrape away any buildup inside the holes. You could also try cleaning out the fuel chamber with a damp cloth or cotton swab, as dirt or dust may be preventing it from working properly. Finally, make sure that all connections are tight and secure – loose connections can cause dangerous leaks. Through this examination, you may also discover that it’s time for new parts such as valves, fittings, or a gas lantern igniter replacement. If all else fails, contact the manufacturer for help.

How To Adjust The Flame On A Gas Lantern

The size of your flame is largely determined by how much fuel is released into it at once which is done by adjusting the width of the valve opening. Generally speaking, turning up the valve (clockwise) will increase the size of the flame while turning it down will reduce it slightly (counter-clockwise). However, keep in mind that too large of a flame can be dangerous, so make sure you don’t turn up the valve too high!

Adjusting the flame on your gas flame lantern is easy. Simply turn the knob located on top of the unit until you achieve the desired effect. Bear in mind that different models may have slightly different controls, so if in doubt, refer to your user manual before attempting any adjustments. Additionally, keep safety in mind when making any adjustments.

Cost to Install Gas Lanterns

Gas flame lanterns come in a variety of styles and sizes, which means that the cost of gas flame lanterns can vary significantly depending on the type you choose. Smaller gas flame lanterns that are suitable for residential use typically range from about $50-$500, while larger models for commercial use can cost over $1000. Gas lantern installation cost will depend on your location, the number of lanterns being installed, and the type of mount being used. When shopping for a gas flame lantern, it’s important to consider the quality of materials used and the longevity of the product. Investing in a higher-quality model will help ensure that your investment will last longer and perform better than a cheaper option.
