Legendary Lighting Trade Mark

  • Legendary Lighting  products are proudly made in the USA in our manufacturing facility located in Flowood, just outside of Mississippi’s Capital City, Jackson. Our Signature Maple Leaf Flame is our Trademark.

  • All Legendary Lighting  gas lanterns are constructed of 16 oz., 20 oz. and 32 oz. copper.  Solid copper rivets and double strength glass are standard.

  • Every bracket is made of steel in our shop and has a durable powder-coated finish; Stainless steel and aluminum brackets can be produced upon request (recommended for damp environments).

  • All Natural Gas and Propane Gas lanterns include a manual shutoff valve located at the base of the burner.

  • BTU Rating for single burner Natural Gas lanterns is 3451 BTU/HR (Size 1 & 2).

  • BTU Rating for single burner Propane lanterns is  2800 BTU/HR (Size 1 & 2).

  • BTU Rating for double burner Natural Gas and Propane lanterns is 4854 BTU/HR (Size 3).

  • These BTU ratings are at the brightest and most prominent flame available.  Lower BTU ratings can be accomplished by turning down the flame.

  • An Electronic Ignition System (EI) is optional on all Propane and Natural Gas lanterns. Electronic Ignition allows the lantern to be operated with the flip of a switch, a timer, or via photo electronic cell.

  • Standard Propane and Natural Gas Lanterns are UL certified.

  • Electric Lanterns are UL/CSA Certified. If UL approval is required, Legendary Lighting must be notified upon order for Wet or Damp location.

  • Compact Fluorescent and HID electric bulbs are available for Legendary Lighting electric fixtures.

  • Our patented Wind Guard (U.S. Patent No. 6,468,072) is available as an option for high wind areas.  If the lantern is equipped with Electronic Ignition, the lantern will re-light in the event the flame is blown out.

  • Legendary Lighting open flame burners do not emit enough light to be measurable.  The open flame burner is suitable for areas that recognize “Dark Sky” ordinances as it does not create light pollution.

  • Legendary Lighting actively returns all scrap copper to be recycled and reused.

  • 100% recycled corrugated cardboard boxes are used for all shipments of Legendary Lighting products.

  • Builders and re-modelers receive two (2) Certification Points per lantern for the use of manual control natural gas lighting and four (4) Certification Points per lantern for the use of electronic ignition natural gas lighting.  These certification points are integral in achieving the Bronze, Silver or Gold Naturally Green Natural Gas Home Certification.
